Top 5 Alcohol Free Cocktails for Easter

Top 5 Alcohol Free Cocktails for Easter

The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer and every supermarket is stocked to the brim with chocolate in the shape of an egg, which can only mean one thing, yes, it is Easter time again. Does anyone else find it a little difficult to keep on track with their summer body goals with all this chocolate about? We certainly do and that is why we would like to share with you 5 alcohol-free cocktail recipes for Easter. Alcohol has a lot of hidden calories so by cutting it out of your Easter weekend you can afford to eat a bit of chocolate or whatever your heart desires (in moderation of course). All the alcohol free drinks featured in this blog are available to buy on our website. To kick start this list we are going to start with a classic whiskey sour.

Whiskey Sour

Ingredients:

50 ml VIBE Deep South 0% Bourbon

35ml lemon juice

15ml Sugar

1 egg white

Lemon zest

Ice

How to Make:

First fill the glass you will be serving the whiskey sour in with ice. Then we start by separating 1 egg white into a cocktail shaker (or something similar), we do this first so if any egg yolk falls into the shaker there is no other ingredients in there for it to contaminate and we can start again without a lot off waste. So, once we have the egg white in the shaker, we then can add 50 ml of Vibe Deep South 0% Bourbon, 35 ml of lemon juice and 15ml of sugar. We give this a dry shake for 15 seconds, dry shake means that we shake the container without any ice in it, by dry shaking we give the egg white a chance to foam which will be crucial in creating that nice layer of white foam at the top of the whiskey sour. After the dry shake add ice and shake again for 35 seconds. Then pour the whiskey sour through a strainer into your serving glass. As whiskey sours are served with ice there is no need to double strain as double straining is usually done to catch small bits of ice that break during the shaking process. Now the only thing left to do is to add your garnish this is where you can let your creative side out and add an extra layer of flavour to suite your tastes. For example, a classic garnish is to grate some lemon zest on top, but some people may prefer to use orange zest to have that mixture of sweet and sour, it is completely up to you. Now you have made your alcohol-free whiskey sour the only thing left to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy.
